Position Summary

SUMMARY:

This role is a key member of the accounting and finance team.
• Works with Finance team to perform monthly close processes, including the posting of journal entries and preparation of reconciliations, preparing various on-demand and periodic financial reporting,
• Assists with forecasting and budgeting, and other ad hoc requests.
• Work must be completed accurately and within stated deadlines.
• Applies lean, continuous improvement tools and skills to drive metric/process improvements as part of the Finance HPT.
• Possesses knowledge of GAAP, the highest level of integrity, and adheres to compliance with stated SOX controls in the execution of all assigned duties.
• Advises leadership of concerns and potential problems when aware.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Accounting or Finance. Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job. Ten or more years of directly related experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Aerospace manufacturing experience a plus.
• Proficient with automated accounting systems and spreadsheet applications.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex financial reports.
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to step back and be a critical thinker
• Knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement a strong plus

Conditions of Employment
