Loveland Products Technical Sales Agronomist - Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa or Kansas

What you will do:
  • Achieve annual sales goals through various sales tactics, including grower calls and meetings, retail and wholesale calls and training, and other sales tactics that directly enable achieving sales goals
  • Own the relationship with key managers
  • Ensure joint Research and Development Field Programs are well communicated
  • Forecast annual sales targets per product in respective territory
  • Prepare an annual strategic territory plan outlining new growth opportunities
  • Work closely with distribution management and sales teams to support, influence, monitor and evaluate sales
  • Serve as technical resource on all Company products and cropping systems within designated area
  • Advise growers and crop advisors on using the Company products to improve plant health and crop yield, providing marketing and agronomic information to support the proper positioning for the products
  • Coordinate market development trials
  • Develop marketing support strategies, product positioning, presentations and technical support as needed
  • Comply with company directives and initiatives utilizing the appropriate forecasting measures, for market development and evaluation
  • Sell Company's portfolio benefits to distributor sales team
What you will bring:
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in agronomy, chemistry, plant science, agriculture or other related field; experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • 5+ years of related experience required, preferably in all aspects of developing and maintaining sales activities, marketing strategies and customer services in the crop input industry
  • Meaningful industry network in the agriculture space, especially in fertilizer and nutritional products
