Our Data and Analytics group, within Deutsche Bank's Chief Data Office (CDO), is working with cutting-edge technology to transform the way we work. We are at an exciting time; expanding our core data enabling capabilities to unleash the value of the company's data assets to gain competitive advantage in the marketplace and advancing our journey to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). We are looking for experienced data architect who brings fresh viewpoints, a discipline of systems architecture, and enjoys collaborating with a cross-functional teams to architect our shared data platforms.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with enterprise and business/infrastructure functions to architect core enabling data capabilities in GCP through realization of data mesh, enterprise data catalog, customer 360
  • Responsible for the delivery of high-quality data architectural solutions, including enterprise and line of business architectures, while ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Strategize and contribute to enterprise level technological initiatives on data governance, management, and usage
  • Conduct full technical discovery, identifying pain points, business and technical requirements, "as is", and "to be" scenarios in support of cloud migration to GCP
  • Take on managerial responsibilities including recruiting, directing, motivating, and developing staff by maximizing individual contribution, professional growth, and the ability to function effectively as a team

Your Skills and Experience:
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in data infrastructure, data architecture and software design skills, as well as a proven track record of implementing streaming patterns (preferably Kafka, cloud-based data warehouses (preferably GCP data services BigQuery or other cloud service provider), common data management control plane, as well as creating and managing data governance processes
  • Proven senior engineering leadership, identifying, designing, developing, implementing, and supporting data technology solutions
  • Experience and understanding of a variety of data analysis processes including but not limited to modeling and algorithms, machine learning, data governance, data quality, and lineage
  • Proven experience in designing stable and flexible high-performance database solutions, maximizing data re-use and avoiding data redundancy, according to the current and anticipated business rules, following SDLC
