The Director of Network Enablement is responsible for strategic operational transformation of the global voice and data communication networks. This role provides leadership to ensure production service availability and works through direct and indirect individual contributors, managers, partners and 3rd party vendors.  This role leads the Global Network and Communication’s Partner Management Program which drives consistency and accountability for delivery and service level objectives with our 3rd party providers.



About the role:


  • Provide strategic thought leadership and Partner relationship management for negotiations and contract work.
  • Provide leadership and risk mitigation for large scale global initiatives including executive level escalations, partner of partner risk sharing, supplier corrective actions and oversight for new technology adoption.
  • Drive escalations for global, large scale complex outages including active incident choreography, improvement opportunities across skills, process and technology and end to end partner alignment.
  • Transform the framework designed to maximize continuous improvement, innovation and risk sharing through effective communication plans to secure alignment across all phases of a vendor account lifecycle to minimize operational drift and lack of goal clarity.
  • Provides compliance oversight as needed for security, regulations, or other policy adherence.
  • Hires and manages managers and may hire and manage individual contributors. Coaches and counsels team members, especially managers regarding management techniques.
  • Defines individual performance objectives and development plans and ensures alignment with project and department objectives. Appraises and evaluates department and individual performance and makes compensation recommendations oversees the appraisal process.
  • Initiates and fosters business partnerships with current and potential clients, vendors, IT executives, and senior business executives develops relationships that promote trust and increase efficiency and effectiveness balances individual client needs with business priorities assuring alignment with the business strategies and objectives.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in technical or business discipline or related experience; Master's Degree preferred. 
  • Generally more than 10 years related experience with 5 years in leadership role. 
  • Experienced, high initiative technology leader with strong collaboration and vendor partner management skills to drive strategic operational transformation.
  • Leader of leaders, relationship and team building skills, executive coaching and influence and trust building capabilities along with risk management communication skills.  Must be a champion for talent development.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT concepts, strategies and methodologies and their application to business opportunities.
  • In-depth knowledge of business operations, objectives and strategies. 
  • In-depth knowledge of project planning methodologies and tools and IT standards and guidelines. 
  • Advanced knowledge of management concepts, practices and techniques. 
  • Ability to promote a team environment consisting of several teams. 
  • Highly developed negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills.
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills; strong presentation skills.
  • Preferred qualifications include lean/continuous improvement methodology, six sigma, ITIL, and global experience. Knowledge of networking and carrier communications technologies and principals.
