This is a great opportunity to work on high volume, high revenue projects in the biggest growth segment of semiconductor industry – Analog. In this role, you’ll be a member of cross-functional team working with various TI BUs, ATE vendors (Advantest/Teradyne) and TI factories to help drive TI Test strategy especially for the Eagle platform.

You’ll work side-by-side with Business Unit (BU) Product & Test Manager/Engineers to help them develop a high quality and cost efficient test solution on the roadmap ATE platforms.

As a member of this cross-functional team between Manufacturing Site (MAKE) & Business Unit, you’ll participate, lead, and help drive all of below defined activities:

1. Primary responsibility will include engaging with Business Unit and TI Factories on New Product Development Cost entitlement and driving Test strategy for Eagle Test platform.

a. Participate and Drive in Product DFT/Design Reviews at Pre-PG to define and outline ATE Capabilities, understand Product Spec requirements, outline Test Plan & Requirements, and enable max-DFT for reduced cost ATE test solution.

b. During Post-PG silicon bring-up, work closely with BU TE in debug and validation of DFTs, test methods, and strategies.

c. Act as an interface between ATE vendor and BU PE team to enable required calibrations, library support, and new API development. Define procedures, criteria, and code/enable automation required in factories for calibration and quality enhancement.

d. Act as a liaison between Manufacturing Site (MAKE) and BU TE on validating HW/SW on TI systems and ensuring production requirements are satisfactorily met with the final solution (Prober/Handler interface, Socket/Pin Qualification, TCS/GRR, Temperature Testing, meet FPY/FRR metrics as

established by the production sites).

e. Document gaps, lessons learned, and best practices and feedback and assign ownership to MAKE, TTPEG, BU PE teams for corrective actions and improvements on current and future designs.

2. Possessing knowledge of various Analog test methods and strong Analog circuit background is a must for this job.

3. Candidate must have intricate knowledge of Analog circuits Sensitivities and dependencies and possess deep knowledge of PCB design guidelines and requirements.

4. Additional knowledge of wafer fab process sensitivities and Packaging interplay is a plus.

5. Knowledge of Power Management and multi-site PCB development is considered a HUGE PLUS for this job.

The candidate, in this role, is expected to work closely with BU TE/PE Managers/engineers in assisting with, defining, and documenting DFT

Requirements, DFT Compliance, and Test Cost Modeling for these new technologies.


Minimum Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Computer Engineering

- 5+ years of experience in Test/Product Engineering


Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have a BSEE with at least 5 years of  direct Test Engineering experience. Prior experience working on DFT,Automated Test Equipment for IC testing, and experience in project planning are required.
  • In-depth H/W design skills ( ATE HIB, CIB, Loadboard ) is required.
  • Strong experience (>5 years) in Analog/Mixed-Signal test is preferred.
  • ETS364/ ETS88/ ETS800 experience is preferred.
  •  Experience with statistical analysis tools such as spotfire, Mbayse etx is required.
  • Candidate must be comfortable with all aspects of Test/Product and engineering and have root cause problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge in each of the following areas is key:
    • semiconductor theory, wafer-process flows, ATE platforms, general coding and programming skills, and the ability to write scripts inC/C++ and PERL.
    • In-depth knowledge of circuits, data analysis, and Analog/Mixed-Signal DFT techniques.
  • Excellent communication are required for project reviews as well as customer presentations.
  • Good leadership skills and the ability to work in a complex cross functional organization are desired
