Overall Purpose: Data Center Electrical/Mechanical Infrastructure Operations management including providing critical technical engineering input for planning, design, and construction of capital projects to meet growth capacity demands and maintain reliability of multiple critical data centers and other technical space facilities.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: Responsible for oversight of Facility Management Operation of mission critical data centers and facilities for the company, which require 24 X 7 uptime. Works with consulting engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure delivery of capital construction projects on budget and schedule, without interruption to current operations, and in compliance with all AT&T company standards and procedures to ensure reliability. Project management of design and construction projects for the data centers including all components of managing capital and expense budgets, knowledge of electrical, mechanical, electrical distribution systems, Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS), large parallel engine/generator sets, electrical/mechanical systems and calculations, fire and life safety systems, building control systems, fuel storage, and negotiation and management of service contracts. Conducts engineering analysis for cost effective and reliable solutions on all systems. Provide training and oversight of outsourced Facility Management technicians and contractors that perform preventative/reactive maintenance of the data centers with onsite workforce 24/7. Responsible for data center uptime and coordinating emergency response for incidents. Available to consult/respond to emergency situations 24/7.

Education: Preferred bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Experience: Typically, 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in data center construction and/or operations field. Certification: PE, EIT, PMP, BOMI, IFMA. Professional Engineer preferred.
