1901 Group (A Leidos Company) has an exciting Cloud Network Engineer position located in the Blacksburg, VA area. POSITION SUMMARY:We are searching for a Cloud Network Engineer to join our growing cloud engineering team to support the design, automation, and deployment of cloud infrastructure and applications.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Develop and implement cloud-first and AWS native architectures• Be a key member of a high performing Agile scrum team. Attend Agile meetings (sprint planning, daily standups, sprint retrospectives, sprint reviews, etc.)• Work with teams across 1901 Group and customers to understand cloud networking requirements for upcoming projects• Design and implement automation through scripting and other techniques to implement cloud network infrastructure and improve operational efficiencies• Create network architectures and designs that are highly available and scalable for new customers systems and solutions to meet defined requirements• Work across the company to deliver Cloud network infrastructure strategies aligned with business objectives• Leverage knowledge and skills associated with AWS Console, CLI, and Managed Services• Build Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and utilize Cloud-native and shared services in an automated fashion• Implement DevSecOps including auto-scaled architectures for rebuilds• Use Modern coding principles, continuous integration pipelines, and automation-first implementations• Develop system interfaces on the Cloud and leverage messaging infrastructure• Remediate security findings and maintain compliancy standards• Flexible schedule to support necessary off-hours maintenance and upgrades• Support on-call rotation

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:

• DoD Secret clearance is required prior to start (Interim Secret clearance is acceptable)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) and 4+ years of professional IT experience – or – a High School diploma (or equivalent) and 8+ years of professional IT experience• 2+ years of experience with Cloud services, AWS, or Azure.• Understand essential networking concepts around LAN / WAN Optimization, IPV4/IPV6, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, Carrier Services, MPLS, Network monitoring tools, DNS, and DHCP • Familiar with Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform and Ansible.• Prior experience working in Agile Development• Experienced migrating workloads to the cloud.• Experiences with cloud consoles/CLIs and provisioning cloud services.• Capable of working within a team and independently.• Someone with strong problem solving and decision-making ability.• Detail oriented with experience interacting with customers.• Proficient in creating technical documentation and diagrams• US Citizenship required• Ability to provide coverage for core hours (8a to 6p) and occasional work on nights and weekends may be required during maintenance periods.• Travel to customer sites, including overnight travel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• An AWS/Azure Certified Solution Architect, Associate (or equivalent experience).• Certified in any of Cisco’s certification programs, such as CCNP
