Overview

Insmed is hiring a biologist or biotechnologist to support discovery and molecular engineering campaigns focused on innovative biotherapies for rare diseases. The successful candidate will participate in diverse aspects of biotherapeutic discovery, optimization, and preclinical development.
Responsibilities

Additional representative responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:

• Implement high throughput cellular screening systems to identify novel biotherapeutic candidates.• Contribute to next generation sequencing workflows for in vitro and in vivo samples.• Execute in vitro and/or in vivo pharmacology studies of biotherapeutic agents.• Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely records.• Perform data analysis and review, ensuring accuracy and completeness.• Present scientific results to the biologics team and Insmed research department.• Assist with coordination and day-to-day management of RDL NH site operations.

Qualifications

About You:

• Masters' degree in cellular and molecular biology, immunology, bioengineering, or related field with at least 2 years of research experience or a Bachelors' degree with at least 3 years of experience.• Tissue culture (mammalian cell lines and primary cells)• PCR, qPCR, RT-PCR• NGS preferred• Molecular cloning and site-directed mutagenesis preferred• Flow cytometry preferred• Hands-on experience with murine or other in vivo models a plus• Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy, and conciseness • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills• Broad knowledge of scientific principles and concepts
