Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently seeking a Payroll Analyst - Certified Payroll to join our first shift team. This position is based at our Moon Township, PA Facility.

Position Overview:

This role is a critical addition to the Electrical Engineering Services and Systems Division (EESSD). It is primarily responsible for leading certified payroll execution and compliance for the national workforce. It is also responsible for assisting the corporate payroll team with timely and accurate processing of payroll for ledgers (approximately 1,000 people) while maintaining the internal controls that have been established at the divisional level for payroll processing. This role will drive payroll process improvements while also delivering excellent customer service. Additional partners to this role include operations coordinators, project managers, and human resources managers.

In this function you will:

+ Lead the processing and execution of certified payroll reports

+ Ensure compliances with applicable laws and payroll tax obligations; maintain pertinent payroll records for approximately 1,000 employees

+ Act as the payroll point of contact for 5 human resources professionals and assist internal corporate payroll by providing accurate and timely payroll data

+ Create strong working relationships with stakeholders to ensure payroll processes are working efficiently

+ Manage divisional payroll which includes processing semimonthly and weekly payroll; processing manual overtime for nonexempt employees on all EESSD ledgers

+ Ensure FLSA compliance among nonexempt employee population

+ Oversee processing of payroll changes (i.e. new hires, terms, raises); collaborates with human resources to effectively process personnel changes timely

+ Answer and resolves complex questions and/or problems while exhibiting excellent customer service

+ Audit payroll activities to ensure 100% accuracy on a semimonthly and weekly basis

+ Assist internal and external customers in the process of obtaining information for payroll production and other business-related concerns

+ Explore areas to improve workflow among different functions; streamline processes to enhance efficiency and productivity in payroll processes

+ Develop/maintain/update payroll process documentation and assist in the maintenance of local payroll guidelines by updating policies and procedures as needed; provide ongoing support for the payroll backup position

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution

+ Minimum one (1) year of payroll experience

+ Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

+ Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the work locations listed as no relocation is being offered for this role.

Preferred qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or accounting/finance from an accredited institution

+ 2+ years of payroll experience in a corporate environment

+ Prior experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word, etc.)

+ Prior manufacturing experience

+ Knowledge of ERP systems and their use
