Overview & Responsibilities

As an SAP Software Engineer on our Available-to-Promise (ATP) Agile Support team, you will play an integral role in the evolution of John Deere's Order Management (OM) program by collaborating with other engineers to develop and support new and existing functionality. You will also be tasked with designing best technical solutions to complex business problems for our ATP product.

In addition, you will:

+ Lead root-cause analysis and resolution of production support issues

+ Design, develop, configure, test, and implement the Deere ATP solution

+ Evaluate and implement enhancement design solutions

+ Collaborate with stakeholders and colleagues to ensure that features meet business needs

+ Act as technical SME for portions of the applications and ensure documentation is complete

+ Participate on projects related to implementing product upgrades like S/4 and patches

+ Collaborate with other developers and perform code reviews

What Skills You Need

+ 2+ years of experience with Order Fulfillment Systems, specifically SAP SCM, SAP SD, SAP PP, SAP APO, and SAP BW

+ 2+ years of ABAP development experience

+ 2+ years of familiarity with SAP tools such as BAPIs, BADIs, ALE, RFCs, IDOCS, Proxies, Webservices, Enhancements, SmartForms, Dynpro, ECC 6.0, or User exits and change management tools

+ Familiarity with varied database tools and principles (e.g. DB2, SAP HANA, and CDS views)

+ Expertise in test-driven development (TDD) utilizing ABAP Unit and SAP ATC

+ Knowledge of Agile/Scaled Agile methodology and full life-cycle development

+ Track record of using the Global ATP product

+ Exposure to Order Fulfillment, Order Processing, SAP Sales and Distribution (SD), Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO), Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Production Planning (PP), Business Warehouse, Materials Management (MM), and Vehicle Management Systems (VMS)

+ Expertise using the SAP Cloud Platform Business Rules Framework

+ Knowledge of configuring and implementing system execution and quality monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Grafana, Graylog, SAP Focused Run, Kibana, and Virtual Forge

+ Ability to write automated integration and end-to-end tests using Worksoft Certify

+ Familiarity with developing in UI5/Fiori, Gateway, and OData technologies

+ Understanding of design patterns and loosely coupled architectures

+ Experience in SAP S/4, aATP, and IBP, and with CI/CD tools such as abapGit, Jenkins, and/or Active Control

Education

+ Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent related work experience
