Workshop Technician - Composite Shop

Our Composite Shop creates lightweight composite parts and assemblies that is as functional. Our staff has been highly trained in the fine arts of fiber glass laminating and Polycarbonate parts manufacturing and has the advanced skills to do work such as building Showers units, Air-conditioning pipes, lavatories sinks and Bidet, Insert glasses storage racks and many other complex parts designs. Our Composite Technician staff performs repairs on Aircraft composite components in accordance with OEM requirements.

It is important to us that the details of your work are exactly the way our customers want them. In order to achieve that high level of customization, repair and quality, we do much of the work by hand.You will work in our State of the Art Composite Shop and start manufacturing parts from the 3D model to the final exquisite composite assembly.

Description/Tasks:

  • Design & manufacture all specific and complex molds necessary to produce composite parts
  • Manufactures all specific and complex composite partswith a standard level of safety, quality, detail and productivity
  • Manufactures polycarbonate parts and assemblies
  • Modifies existing Air duct pipes in accordance with Engineering data
  • Performs repairs and modification under supervision
  • Supports Senior Composite Technicians to develop and implement process improvements
  • Trains Composite Technicians and monitors their work
  • Manufactures & assembles Shower Assemblies
  • Assists team members to enhance techniques of quality workmanship
  • Supports Senior Composite and Cabinet Technicians to develop and implement process improvements
  • Performs other related duties as required or assigned
  • Must be able to use vacuum bagging techniques for curved parts and difficult shapes
  • Responsible for own work quality and timely completion and performance.
  • Supports continuous improvement action tasks
  • Can perform Installation in A/C under Supervision
  • Demonstrates capability to learn other disciplines and skills

Qualification/Experience:

  • Knowledge in reading and understanding 3D Models files & 2D manufacturing drawing and assemblies.
  • Handles aerospace composite materials and uses appropriate tools.
  • Should be familiar with the oven techniques and able to monitor cure cycle.
  • Able to perform all composite technician requirements on production part 21G
  • Experience in Similar aviation business
  • Reached Technician Level 1 and some of Technician Level 2
  • Composite technician education
  • Or Basic Cabinet Maker diploma & equivalent with 5 minimum of years of Composite technician level 1
  • Good English skills, German and French would be an advantage
