Health Program Representative I 

As a Health Program Representative, you are responsible for providing initial contact between distinct Care Management programs and specific identified members. Working under direct supervision, you will handle inbound/outbound enrollment and engagement calls with eligible members to provide information regarding program features. This position will feature outbound calling-- you will spend most of your day either dialing outbound or making outbound calls through a dialer.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: 

  • Gathers and records appropriate member information in accordance with policies and procedures via telephone. 
  • Encourages members to participate in the Care Management programs by providing information about the program, outlining program features/value and explaining available services. 
  • Records call details and utilize call scripts as needed based on client requirements. 
  • Directs member inquiries to appropriate clinical staff. 
  • Initiates referrals and manages consults from clinicians for participants registered in Care Management. 
  • Gathers information from hospitals, health plans, physicians, patients, vendors and other referral sources. 
  • Contacts physician offices to obtain demographic information or related data as needed.

Location: This is a 100% remote position from day one forward. Successful candidates will meet Anthem Work at Home requirements including hard-wired high speed internet and a private secure workspace.

Hours: Successful candidates must be available to work any 8.5 hour shift between 8:30 AM and 5:30 PM CST (Central Standard.) Your shift will be scheduled for 8.5 hours with two paid 15 minute breaks and a 30 minute unpaid break, resulting in 8 hours of work time daily.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School diploma or the equivalent; and
  • 6 months experience in a telesales or customer service environment;
  • Or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of company products, services and benefits
  • Computer/keyboarding proficiency

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to follow defined policies and protocols
  • Demonstrated ability to influence or persuade customers/ members
