Job Description:

Come Join Our Team!GDITis a government contractor providing professional and technical services to various government agencies (i.e. defense). We are currently looking for a Facilities Manager - CoLaboratory to provide support for our government customer located in PointMugu, CA.

The Facilities Manager - CoLaboratory will launch a collaboration and learning space for the Navy, a space to train on printers, scanners, laser cutters, Shot Bots, and more.

Responsibilities include:
  • Gaining a working knowledge of the equipment and technologies in the ILP (3D Printers, 3D Scanner, AR/VR, Laser Cutters, CNC Routers and Mill, Electrical workbenches, other machining equipment, and complimentary software etc)
  • Maintaining equipment and instructing others on the use of the tool (via workshops and demonstrations)
  • Being available for daily open hours, giving tours, enforcing facility rules of behavior and usage, assisting ILP users and the ILP director as needed
  • Creating and conducting workshops and/or assisting guest workshop creators
  • Creating and maintain an inventory database
  • Following safety protocol and routine inspections (i.e. fire extinguishers)
  • Responsible for purchase requests, reservation coordination, and other administrative work

Requirements:
  • BA/BS or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Experience with prototyping and machining equipment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills

Laboratory management experience is desired.

Individual must be a self-starter with excellent communication skills and the ability to execute duties with minimal supervision as well as a passion for innovation and impactful work to help the warfighter. Individual must also enjoy interacting with people.
