Job Description
The Head of CVS Customer Account and Customer Preferences engineering, reporting to VP of Digital Pharmacy engineering, will work with the Enterprise Digital Team to develop and execute CVS Account strategy. The Head of CVS Customer Account and Customer Preferences is the engineering and line management leader and works closely business leaders and cross functionally with Architecture, Product, Design, and the Agile Transformation Office leadership team to ensure all opportunities to build industry leading digital assets are realized.

The Head of CVS Customer Account and Customer Preferences engineering has ultimate decision-making authority over CVS Customer Account and Preferences, thus ensuring proper design, development, testing, delivery and growth.

• Responsible for leading the design, implementation and maintenance associated with CVS Account creation, Identity, SSO, OIDC, OAuth and customer preferences digital software assets
• Directs the selection, evaluation, contracting, and integration of externally available application software to deliver business system solutions
• Technology research and innovation to develop long term roadmap based on emerging trends in healthcare and digital technologies
• Fiscal management including the development of annual capital and expense budgets and compliance management

Role can be remote near one of our hubs in RI, MA, CT, NY, IL or TX.

Required Qualifications
• 15+ years’ experience in systems analysis and application program development
• 10+ years’ experience managing large software development teams
• 5+ years’ experience as a leader of a Healthcare/Retail company
• 3+ years’ experience in building Identity, Security and Account area for Fortune 100 Companies with multiple brands
• Proven track record in managing large, multiple, complex and integrated development projects with a budget responsibility of 15+ million
• Extensive knowledge of the system development life cycle, systems, and application program development alternatives
• Proven leadership experience setting strategic direction and influencing change that resulted in quantifiable positive outcomes

COVID Requirements

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience managing off-shore development
• Experience in the healthcare industry

Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and years of experience required.

Master’s degree preferred.
