Account Management Executive: As an energetic, polished, and passionate professional you will be responsible for managing and coordinating account service and performance management activities as the primary contact for retention and growth of a complex group of accounts. As the day-to-day leadership contact for the client the Account Management Executive will work closely with all departments and staff to ensure the highest level of client satisfaction as well as providing exceptional leadership that balances the “voice of the customer” with operational capabilities. This position will be directly responsible for managing the service requests, reporting, and performance standards of assigned clients. This position will be effective at achieving client retention, service measures, and growth goals through fostering internal and external relationships while balancing decision making needs of the client with company’s current and future capabilities.

Location: Brentwood, TN (Greater Nashville area)

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: 

  • Performs account planning including understanding account values, vision, and measures of success. 
  • Performs project/program execution and monitoring including acting as the single point of contact for the account regarding service delivery, issue resolution, and reporting. 
  • Monitors, manages, and communicates overall value and proposition in partnership with account. Identifies and leads sales/expansion activities including management and delivery of timely and accurate sales pipeline forecasting for assigned account base. 
  • Collaborate with sales to develop value statement and growth goals post client acquisition. May develop product and sales support messaging and materials and provide input into the design of an account planning and renewal strategy.
  • Builds effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.  Understands the issues specific to the client and applies knowledge, insight, and experience into strategic recommendations.
  • Participates in efforts to support standardization across accounts. 
  • Participates in multi-disciplinary team to design and implement product operational enhancements. Serves as the internal voice of assigned account base for all new product development efforts. 
  • Partners with teams to promote customer satisfaction, retention and drive enhanced value to the account via solutions. 
  • Coordinates training related to external client-facing programs.
  • Develop all necessary program and data milestones, projects plans, risk assessments, status reports, and meeting agenda/minutes adhering to department standards for quality & consistency in a timely manner.
  • Investigates, researches, and resolves issues presented by the customer; analyzes trends, develops customer-specific solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams; applies appropriate delegation and oversight of resources when applicable.
  • Responsible for coordination, preparation, and presentation for Joint Operating Committee meetings with assigned health plan customers, including finalization of deck and support materials; reviews financial and clinical outcomes, ensures customer understanding, problem solves and finds opportunities to increase presence.
  • Trains/mentors lower-level Account Management staff. 


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in health plan management, account management or IT systems/business process consulting; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS preferred.
  • Experience in provider network management, health benefits management, care management, or call centers in health care industry.
  • Medicare / Medicaid experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to serving clients through proactive account management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
