Kelly Science & Clinical is currently recruiting for several Research Nurse I openings in Dallas, TX.

 
The Research Nurse assists various Principal Investigators (PIs), through delegated authority, with conducting clinical trials while learning the responsibilities during all phases of trials including pre-study implementation through study closure.

Job Responsibilities:

·      Coordinate the implementation of various clinical trial protocols for assigned research projects while under the mentorship of a research leader.

·      Review new protocols and other study materials provided by study sponsors and provides input regarding nursing and research issues in order to determine financial and clinical feasibility.

·      Perform site-specific steps for treatment builds to be completed within the EMR.

·      Review patient EMR to screen for eligibility in enrolling clinical trials.

·      Assist in coordinating research subject’s consent and entry into appropriate research studies, ensuring that all inclusion and exclusion criteria are met.

·      Perform in-service training for infusion nurses administering investigational treatment, based on training completed for assigned research projects.  

·      Communicate with PIs, site staff, and other departments in an efficient and timely manner in preparation for patient enrollment and start of treatment, to ensure a smooth treatment experience for patients.

·      Perform phlebotomy through routine blood draws and/or port access, ECGs, and vitals as needed and per protocol for study visits.

·      Assists with data entry in the electronic data capture (EDC) system as needed to meet data deadlines, and assists with query resolution to ensure accuracy of data.

Job Requirements:

Associate or Bachelor’s degree

Registered Nurse License

1+ year of nursing experience, preferably oncology, but not required

Ability to effectively utilize common bioinformatics, office, and clinical trial software

Ability to interact with physicians, clinical and research personnel
Ability to teach and present
Knowledge of NIH, HIPAA and FDA regulations surrounding clinical trials  
Must be detail oriented
Must be well organized

Shift: 10 x 4 (10 hr days, 4 days per week), as assigned within M-F
