Position Description

Business Intelligence Analyst- Technology Finance

Position Summary:

Understands and considers both the business and the technical engineering/IT needs to ensure quality digital products and related operational workflows to meet/exceed the desired business objectives. Able to perform cost, benefit and risk analysis associated with the proposed product/services and recommend alternatives for solutions throughout the product life cycle. Performs data analysis, defines, and documents business requirements, translates business requirements to technical/engineering specifications, acceptance criteria, user experience requirements and system validation while considering the complete technical and non-technical solution.

Responsibilities:

To apply knowledge and analytics to develop and communicate timely, accurate, and actionable insight to the business through the use of modeling, visualization, and optimization.

Responsible for the reporting, analyzing, and predicting of operational processes, performance, and Key Performance Indicators.

Communication with site leadership, operations, and finance on efficiency, customer requirements, account specific issues, and insight into to the business, operations, and customer.

Applies hindsight, insight, and foresight techniques to communicate complex findings and recommendations to influence others to take action

Uses spreadsheets, databases, and relevant software to provide ongoing analysis of operational activities

Assists operations in identifying areas for improving service levels, reducing operational costs, and providing other operational enhancements

Partners with Finance to develop financial models to analyze productivity and payroll; calculates cost benefits and business impact and proposes solutions

Responsible for assisting finance and senior leadership in modeling yearly labor budget based on operational and profile changes

Act as the main liaison between Accounting/Finance and Information Technology departments in order to create business intelligence needed by the department

Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking

Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support

Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools

Minimum Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in business or related field or an MBA.
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
  • Advanced technical skills.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
  • Competency in applications including PowerBI, Tableau, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
