Vacancy ID: NF0005455 Position Summary/Description: Reporting to and partnering with the Development Director, the Donor Engagement Officer serves as deputy of NRI's development and fundraising team with a dual focus on annual gift fundraising and donor relations. The Donor Engagement Officer will lead a comprehensive annual giving program to advance the mission of the Nutrition Research Institute: To lead precision nutrition research through understanding how genetics and environment affect an individual's requirements for and responses to nutrients. The incumbent will create a strategic development plan to secure private annual giving funds from prospects and donors; maintain an active pipeline of qualified individual prospects and donors; engage and motivate donors, volunteers, faculty, administrators, and staff; support the Advisory Board and its committees; co-plan fundraising and stewardship events; and foster collaborative pan-university development efforts between NRI and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Local and regional travel, some evening and weekend work required. Education and Experience: 3 or more years of experience. Commitment to NRI's mission is highly desired.
