Job Description

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working hands-on technically with various business unit Partners.

In this position you will be responsible for installing developing and maintaining software used for testing Intel processors and chipsets across all market segments including but not limited to Client and Servers for Manufacturing test lines and systems validation. You will be accountable for development delivery and deployment of system-level software and benchmarks to various internal Stakeholders while debugging a wide variety of pre and post-silicon customer capabilities and tools.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Apply your computer programming and engineering skills along with your knowledge of Intel architecture
  • Conduct and participate in multidisciplinary research and collaboration with product engineers, validation engineers, hardware engineers, and BIOS driver, and other application engineers
  • Support test content development for system-level testing of Intel processors in factory platforms
  • Focus on identifying test holes and enabling software applications for testing new and existing processor features
  • Support engineers to diagnose and debug potential issues resulting from developing verifying and executing tests under various OSes (Windows, Linux)
  • Develops software as the primary job function Designs develops debugs and tests complex software in any field (eg systems software, software development tools, applications, drivers, numerical methods, UIs, web)
  • May work directly with companies developing and optimizing compilers operating systems and other software technologies

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:


The candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field with 4+ years of experience -OR- Master's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field with 3+ years of experience in the following:

  • Software design, coding, and debug
  • Python, shell-scripting, C and/or C++
  • Installing, enabling, and automating applications
  • Using IDE development environments, including Eclipse, Visual Studios, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in:

  • Industry-standard applications and benchmarks
  • Data-interpreted mark-up languages (JSON, XML)
  • ISA, memory models, Graphics and Media technology, and IO subsystems (PCIe, CXL)
  • Dgemm, stream, mem bandwidth, etc.
  • Solve scientific linear computational issue
  • Porting across platforms
  • GPU at app level (OpenCL / OpenACC for computation)
  • Graphics pipelines and API (DirectX, OpenGL)
  • Optimize code to increase performance, efficiency
  • Use of debugs and profilers to help with the utilization and characterization of CPU / SoC
  • Computer boot process and kernel
  • Software testing principles and validation techniques
  • Intel processor architecture and X86 assembly language (ASM)
  • Artificial Intelligence solutions applied to segments such as HPC, Cloud, Visual Computing and/or Enterprise
  • Automation and deployment techniques such as: Containers, Log analysis, etc.
  • Hardware debug, diagnostics and telemetry, as well as microarchitectural knowledge
