Principal Financial Analyst, Surgical & Wound Care

 

Medela is seeking a Principal Financial Analyst, Surgical & Wound Care to join our team. This individual will be responsible for business models seeking alignment with healthcare organization and the financial team. This position will work with internal and external customers establishing check and balances while acting as the primary finance resource for the Surgical and Wound Care division.

This position is located in McHenry, IL and is an onsite position.

Education and Critical Skills/Experience – Principal Financial Analyst, Surgical & Wound Care

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field required
  • Minimum five years of experience as a financial or business analyst required
  • Proven experience in distilling large amounts of data into internal / external management information (KPI’s, dashboards, graphical representations, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities
  • Superior Excel skillset, business intelligence / relational database application experience - SQL, PowerBI, SFDC required; SAP ERP experience preferred.
  • Must be able to read, understand and communicate in English
  • Travel is 20-25%

 

Main Responsibilities – Principal Financial Analyst, Surgical & Wound Care

Financial Analysis:

  • Act as a primary Finance resource for Surgical & Wound Care
  • Maintain primary Finance relationship with Strategic Accounts
    • Sales & Contribution Statements
    • Key Drivers / KPIs including Install Base
    • Consignment Inventory Controls (audits)
  • Attend Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Report and Enhance Quarterly Business Review Reports, meeting minutes and action item completion
  • Responsible for budget and forecast development / coordination between Finance, Sales and Marketing
    • Sales & Contribution
    • Allowances / Incentives
    • Resource Investments / ROI
  • Provide reporting and support to Senior Executive Management
  • Provide business models period updates and reviews
  • Responsible for periodic pricing compliance and pricing updates (coordination with Sales Operations, Sales and Marketing)
  • Responsible for business case/opportunity development – 360 reviews of Medela and customer financial impacts; Tier Estimator Financial Assessment
  • Support Sales Force enablement                     
    • Commission Plan Development / Support
    • Territory Mapping
    • Opportunity Assessments – Products, Customers, etc.
    • Territory targeting / hospital ranking

 

Business Analytics:

  • Sales Funnel Analytics / AC Business Model Compliance and Metrics
  • S&OP Demand Plan Development, Supporting Analytics and Supply Plan Metrics review
  • Conduct market model reviews (Total Available Markets)
