Scheduled Hours 37.5 Position Summary The Senior Employer Relations Specialist will be responsible for driving the continued success of the assigned program by seeking top talent. The CEL Project Manager is an integral member of the CEL team and is involved in providing our students with experiential learning opportunities by cultivating projects and partnering with potential clients, collaborating with the director and faculty on the design of center offerings and assisting in the implementation of center programs. Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities Relationship Management Develops and manages relationships with clients and potential clients as proactive account manager to successfully connect industry relationships with Olin Center for Experiential Learning opportunities. Regularly collaborates with Corporate Relations / senior administrators, Washington University Career Center in building/maintaining relationships with clients and prospective clients. Develops and manages relationships with senior executives of major corporate sponsors of Olin in conjunction with Corporate Relations, senior administrators and Washington University Career Center. Develops and manages relationships, in conjunction with A&D with alumni working in assigned industries. Operations Manages all Center for Experiential Learning program general operational activities.   Develops project scope and oversee client management in conjunction with program director(s) or project advisor. Organizes resources to respond to departmental information requests. Functions as project manager to admissions and business development teams to ensure priorities, responsibilities and deadlines are being met. Collaborates with director and faculty director on CEL strategy and implementation as well as evaluation and professional development initiatives, and planning for Center for Experiential Learning Programs expanding service offerings. Collaborates with staff on center wide projects, including but not limited to student-facing information sessions and student recruiting efforts. Collaborates on the oversight of the CEL Scholars (undergraduate and graduate student leaders) term projects. Financial   Oversight of departmental budgets. Assists with annual budget development process. Supervisory Supervises CEL program managers, to include performance management, coaching and accountability. Other Duties as Assigned Working Conditions Availability for evening/weekend activities. Travel to on-and off-campus locations including conferences and events as needed. Ability to work outside normal office hours. Preferred Qualifications Work experience in higher education setting, client relationship management, sales or related role. Masterâ™s degree in business, or in a related field. Extensive experience within a given business related industry. Knowledgeable about the school, its culture and program offerings. Comfortable making cold calls and talking to new people all day. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to call, connect and interact with potential customers. Persuasive and goal-oriented. Possesses an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor. Eager to expand pipeline reach with new sales, clients, and territories. Self-motivated and self-directed. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently. In-depth understanding of school, program, services and our position in the industry. Ability to professionally and confidently communicate with C-Level Executives. Ability to work accurately under stress and pressure to meet competing deadlines. Excellent analytical and time-management skills. Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge. Tenacity to handle rejection and continue on with a positive attitude when reaching out to next potential client. Ability to work with diverse populations including students, staff, faculty, and external customers. Ability to market our programs using personal selling and marketing techniques. Demonstrated ability to work in a complex high volume environment, prioritize activities and meet deadlines. Strong quantitative, analytical and reporting skills. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree required and five years of related work experience. Grade G12 Salary Range $53,900.00 - $92,200.00 / Annually The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
