Component Quality Inspector

Job Description:

The Component Quality Inspector represents Converge as an electronics product expert. This person will work closely with Component Quality Team and the rest of the OPS team and will do the legwork of the detailed product inspection as mandated by corporate procedures and checklists to validate/verify product authenticity, markings, condition and offer documented and factual information for Sales and/or Commodity Management to determine disposition when applicable

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Will be assigned to a Senior CQE to assist on the completion of the needed activities

  • Take inspection photo under low optical microscope

  • Feedback electronic components visual and mechanical defects

  • Perform X-ray inspection

  • Take out and put back samples to its carrier

  • Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned

What We Are Looking For

  • Higher Nitec (preferably in Electronics Engineering)

  • Knowledge in operating X-ray machine, decapsulation machine, baking oven and other basic electronics testing tools/equipment

  • Experience with inspection and classification of various semiconductor and electronic parts

  • Experience utilizing measuring device such as caliper

  • Working knowledge of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) in handling components in an Electrostatic Protective Area (EPA) is required

  • Knowledge in RoHS directive and basic understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management System is an advantage

  • Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing workload and business pressures.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)

  • Able to meet physical demands of sitting, standing and or walking for prolonged period of time.
