Position Overview:

Boeing is looking for a Property Management Specialist to support the Defense, Space and Security (BDS) organization in performing lifecycle management activities illustrated in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.245-1 and related Government Property clauses at our Tukwila, WA location. Property Management Specialists integrate and collaborate with diverse organizations across the enterprise with processes and procedures that support a compliant Property Management System. These positions provide the opportunity to directly support a variety of customers both internal and external to Boeing, including the franchise P-8 and KC-46 programs. Property Management Specialists work in an environment that is fast-paced, requires the ability to manage competing schedules, and be responsive to diverse customer needs. Success in these positions requires customer focus, strong attention to detail, and the ability to quickly problem solve to provide solutions that maintain compliance and support program execution requirements. Continuous process improvement is critical, and candidates must be able to execute existing processes while proactively identifying ways to improve them.

Position Responsibilities

  • Administers the terms of contract provisions that specify the company's obligations to acquire, control, use, care for, report and dispose of property.
  • Maintains accountability from initial acquisition to final disposition by coordinating, preparing and documenting applicable forms to indicate a change of ownership, accountability or location of property in accordance with applicable government regulations, customer contracts or corporate policy.
  • Assists in with audits, documenting processes and procedures, investigating and reporting lost or damaged property, and developing root cause corrective action plans
  • Acts as a focal interacting with contracting organizations and customers on complex issues related to property management.
  • Ensures that property is allowable, reasonable, allocable and utilized in accordance with company or contract requirements.
  • Reviews records for accuracy and reviews processes for compliance to established procedures and guidelines.
  • Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to other employees and stakeholders.

Export Control:

These positions must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 3 years of experience managing Government and/or Customer-owned property in a Property Management System, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a customer-oriented role focused on inventory management and program support
  • Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Significant experience working with U.S. Government Federal Acquisition Regulations, agency supplements, and processes for lifecycle management of Government property
  • National Property Management Association (NPMA) Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master’s and 3 years' related work experience)


This position will be located in Tukwila, WA and does not offer relocation assistance.  Applicants must reside in the immediate area or be willing to relocate at their own expense.  This is not negotiable.
