Platform Integration, within Enterprise Functions Technology (EFT) focuses on scaled horizontal enterprise solutions that are stable, secure, and always on. EFT Platform Integration is seeking an Engineering Manager to be a part of a newly embedded horizontal function within EFT supporting multiple technology divisions.  We believe that "Hope is not a Strategy" and we solve operational issues through code.  

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Leading a team of engineers 
  • Developing and implementing a forward thinking strategy to align the products to centrally supported enterprise-wide products and solutions.
  • Partnering with Technology Infrastructure and Application Development teams on migrating away from federated middleware instances to centrally supported middleware services used across the EFT Platforms.
  • Partnering with Technology Infrastructure and Application Development teams with standardizing database instances used across the EFT Platforms. 
  • Partnering across EFT platform management and across the Wells Fargo Technology organization on the EFT transformation agenda.

 
Proven Technical Expertise with one or more of the following:

  • Multi-year strategies with migrating to new platforms
  • OS and Platform -  PCF, Linux, Azure, Windows, Kubernetes
  • Automation:  Ansible, Puppet
  • infrastructure Architecture and Design
  • Technical Program Management experience 

We are looking for an Engineering Manager who enjoys and thrives on solving complex problems through innovation impacting change at scale in a diverse environment. You will join a transformational platform integration organization leading a team focused on the building and maintaining of standardized platforms across several hundred EFT applications and multiple vertical lines of business supporting the entire firm. The Engineering Manager will focus on leading a multi-year standardization program with aligning the middleware and database technologies used by the EFT applications with Enterprise standards.

Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your employees feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them.
Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented employees, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing employees, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.

As an Employee Manager, you are expected to achieve success by leading yourself, your team, and the business. Specifically, you will: 

  • Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your employees feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technology engineering experience
  • 4+ years of leadership and people management experience in a technology environment
  • 4+ years of experience building and managing IT Service Management service portfolios or catalogs
  • 2+ years of middleware development experience
  • 2+ years of program management experience



Desired Qualifications

  • Technical and business architecture experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology project management: large scale development projects, including data migrations and third party vendor integrations
  • Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban
  • Weblogic experience
  • JBOSS experience



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Ansible automation
  • Experience with mass vulnerability remediation automation
  • Experience with system administration across multiple platforms
  • Experience with one or more Technology Platforms (Cloud, o/s, etc.): Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), AWS, Azure, Linux, VMware
  • WebSphere administration experience  
  • Tomcat experience
  • Database administration experience (Oracle, SQLServer,MySQL)
