The Consumer Lending team partners with other businesses across Wells Fargo to create and deliver transformational experiences that help customers gain access to credit. The vision for the Consumer Lending business is to leverage technology and data to make it simple for customers to easily access credit when and where they need it. Consumer Lending serves customers across the country through our distribution network of more than 5,300 retail banking branches and Home Lending offices, as well as online and digital channels.

Wells Fargo Auto is looking for a talented Copywriter to join our team to help develop and elevate creative solutions for Auto, all within our master brand. A free thinker, an ideator, with a flair for writing clear, concise and grammatically correct messaging to work with our creative team to produce campaigns and collateral that get results. Someone who understands business strategy as well as insights from planning, translating all into original ideas that further our brand, approaching each marketing challenge with smart, fresh, media agnostic thinking.

The Copywriter helps develop original concepts that result in effective and compelling communication for projects and campaigns. They work closely with the Creative Director and Art Directors, to translate marketing and brand strategies into language that engages our prospects and customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create inspiring and strategic messaging that supports visual designs
  • Knowledge and desire to investigate, innovate and develop new trends
  • Possess an understanding of different language styles that appeal to various consumer targets
  • Responsible for the quality of clear and consistent brand voice in line with our brand guidelines
  • Have the ability to manage multiple projects on several campaigns at once and remain flexible through multiple rounds of revisions while keeping a keen attention to detail
  • Amending, revising or redeveloping campaign content in response to feedback from the Creative Director, account team or internal stakeholders
  • Present concepts to stakeholders for approval

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: marketing, digital marketing, digital platform (i.e mobile or social media) demonstrated through work or military experience

Other Desired Qualifications
  • 2 to 5 years working as a Copywriter in an agency or similar environment with expertise and familiarity with commonly used style guides
  • Possess a portfolio with a variety of industries and deliverables represented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 

Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

TX-Irving: Min: $63,900 Mid: $90,000 Max: $116,100
CA-San Mateo: Min: $76,700 Mid: $108,000 Max: $139,300
MN-Shoreview: Min: $63,900 Mid: $90,000 Max: $116,100
AZ-Chandler: Min: $63,900 Mid: $90,000 Max: $116,100
NC-Charlotte: Min: $63,900 Mid: $90,000 Max: $116,100
