The Chief Operating Office (COO) is responsible for delivering a more consistent approach to business operations across Wells Fargo, strengthening the company’s risk and control infrastructure, and delivering effective and efficient enterprise services to employees and customers.

The COO group includes the head of Operations, who is jointly responsible for line of business operations with each of the five LOB CEOs. Operations functions include contact center operations, client servicing support, money movements within our businesses, lending operations, and other functions.

The COO group also includes a number of teams dedicated to strengthening Wells Fargo’s risk and control infrastructure. These include the Control Executive team; Regulatory and Policy Affairs; Enterprise Customer Excellence; Sales Practices Oversight and Management; and Strategic Execution and Operations.

The Chief Administrative Office, encompassing the Corporate Properties Group; Corporate Security; Enterprise Business Resiliency; Strategic Programs and Process Improvement; Enterprise Change Management; Supply Chain Management; and Data Management and Insights, delivers important services for our employees and customers.

The Customer Remediation Center of Excellence is an enterprise function. This organization develops and implements consistent enterprise standards for remediating issues across our consumer lines of business. The organization enables more effective and coordinated monitoring, reporting and stakeholder communications. Enhancing our practices and outcomes for customers is a critical part of building a better Wells Fargo.

With the centralization of Customer Remediation functions into the Center of Excellence ("COE"), we have a need for a highly skilled Analytic Manager 3 – Data Analytics Quality Control Manager. This Analytic Manager will play the critical role of leading a technically skilled team and leveraging deep business systems and database knowledge to perform advanced data validation of customer remediation populations of customers who were harmed.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage the Data Analytics Quality Control (DAQC) reviewers
  • Manage DAQC reviews and coach DAQC reviewers to perform thorough analysis which includes:
    • Analyze CRCOE issues to understand and identify customers who are harmed
    • Critically review remediation analytic approaches to ensure accurate data populations
    • Analyze complex SAS and SQL code to validate populations of harmed customer
    • Profile data and perform quality checks to identify data outliers, issues, and inaccuracies
    • Credibly challenge remediation data analytics to ensure reasonable, complete, accurate, and consistent requirements, strategies, data logic, and implementation
  • Partner with remediation leaders and Analytics managers to implement effective DAQC reviews
  • Manage critical DAQC process, guidance and documentation expectations
  • Actively contribute to enhancing DAQC processes within the larger DAQC leadership team
  • Ensure adherence to data management/data governance regulations and policies
  • Develop DAQC reviewer’s line of business data knowledge and enhance overall team capabilities

Team Productivity – Contribute to efficient and effective DAQC reviews by delivering the following program outcomes:

  • Establish and maintain high quality remediation team partnerships enabling trust and confidence
  • Effective communication with remediation teams to establish clear remediation validation priorities
  • Effective resource assignment with validation priorities communicated and managed
  • Leadership of DAQC Reviewers and Team Leads to deliver:
    • High quality comprehensive validations against established criteria
    • Accurate and consistent validation documentation per established processes
    • Timely and prioritized validations to meet target delivery dates
    • Ability to adapt to changes including remediation volumes, business knowledge growth, and process enhancements 

Team Quality – Contribute to the measurable reduction of remediation findings as identified by independent validation teams. Your contribution will be measured by the following behaviors:

  • Modeling CR COE behaviors expected of employees as listed in Team Quality objective
  • Refining Quality Management Forum to drive to thorough assessment of findings, attribution of root cause and process owner accountability as demonstrated by a clear focus on material findings and associated action plans in the monthly Quality Forum
  • Leading or actively helping to implement efforts towards enhancing existing, or building new, quality controls
  • Identifying root causes of breakdowns in Quality Controls, and implement enhancements
  • Establishing, improving, or ensuring adherence to processes, procedures, and management routines that ensure first pass quality and prevent independent findings
  • QM will partner with Control to review 100% of findings on 2021 remediation executions to determine if accountability to QM team applies 

Responsible for managing all or part of a decision-strategies function for a large business group or functional area. Decision-strategies function may include insight consulting, analytics/modeling, and/or database/information management, etc. Evaluates, recommends and implements strategies for developing and utilizing technical and/or analytic resources to enable initiatives that predict, improve, support, and measure business success. This requires a full understanding of business objectives and underlying drivers to embed them into information, analytic, and data management processes. Responsibilities include working with clients to define issues and information needs and translating them into specific data/technical requirements to support business initiatives and projects; determining the required capabilities, tools and data; leveraging and developing multiple internal or external information sources; managing and prioritizing multiple complex projects and project teams; maintaining necessary processes, controls and procedures to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Ensures adherence to data management/data governance regulations and policies. Manages a team that includes mid to senior level consultants.

  • Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your employees feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them.
  • Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented employees, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing employees, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling demonstrated through work or military experience
  • 2+ years of management experience; or 3+ years of leadership experience

Desired Qualifications

  • 2+ years of SAS experience
  • 4+ years of SQL experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience managing complex projects in a large enterprise environment
  • Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions, and influence change
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members

Other Desired Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience with analytical methods used in statistical analysis, modeling, and reporting
  • Experience with Customer Remediations
  • Experience with Audit Validations
  • Experience with Database, Automation or Regression testing

  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time

Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
