In this role, you will have opportunities to

  • Lead a power management Analog IC design team (4-6 designers and physical designers) with product ownership and responsibility from definition to release to manufacturing
  • Develop new architectures, implementing circuits for individual modules or cells, writing behavioral models (SV, AMS), performing corner and statistical simulations, quality checks (such as Aging and Reliability, EMIR, RAMP) to support a top down design flow
  • Recommend work assignments for team members (when leading a project), providing design guidance as needed, developing schedules and monitoring progress throughout the project as well as providing weekly updates to the cross-functional team
  • Evaluate intermediate and final results during the design phase and during silicon evaluation, to ensure accomplishment of technical objectives. Be comfortable presenting design results at key milestones to the team
  • Work with and provide guidance to physical designers and monitoring the progress of IC layout, including extraction of parasitic and post-layout simulation
  • Collaborate with Design Verification teams during the pre-PG phase of a project to ensure zero defects
  • Work with systems engineers, application engineers and marketing, and end customers to support product family definition, datasheet, and application notes
  • Collaborate with validation, product engineering and test engineering teams, including hands on lab validation of module or IC to enable debug and performance evaluation of silicon
  • Interface and lead discussions with the customer and/or TI field sales/field applications teams to understand customer designs, problems and support as required
  • Actively participate in hiring, developing and evaluating new hires and interns to develop leadership skills
  • Actively participate in IP and technology development initiatives, mentor cross-functional team members, write invention disclosures and internal publication and presentation of ideas developed

Minimum requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field of study
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in power management design such as DC-DC converters, LDOs, Charge Pumps, BIAS circuits, and Oscillators

Preferred qualifications:

  • Proficient in best in class design practices and tools / flows, automotive quality and reliability, Cadence Statistical simulations, and EMIR tools
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results 
  • Have successfully taken at least one IC from concept to volume production
