Job Description:

  • Develop a coverage driven verification plan by working closely with System, APPS and design team to ensure first pass silicon success.
  • Develop System Verilog reusable test bench, constrained and fully random stimulus, checkers, monitors, coverage items to verify the design under test.
  • Develop C test cases and checkers for processor based design under test.
  • Develop test bench automations to speed the cycle time.
  • Report bugs on design and work with design team to get them closed in a timely manner.
  • Create stimulus to recreate issues found on silicon validation.
  • Work with industry best practice tools and develop scripts for automated regression launching, coverage analysis and test case tracking.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements for quality and efficiency on DV strategy, tools, methods and flows.
  • Run tests for RTL and Gate level simulations and regressions with timing on all corners.
  • Achieve 100% functional and code coverage and review the DV results with design and systems team.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in digital design verification.
  • Strong hands-on experience in digital design verification using System Verilog is a must.
  • Basic knowledge of C based processor verification.
  • Experience with implementation of metric driven verification environment that include constrained random stimulus, automated checker and functional coverage.
  • Experience in Cadence simulation and debug tools like irun/xrun/ncsim.
  • Proficiency in Scripting languages and utilities including Makefile, TCL, Python, Perl, VBA, etc.
  • Ability to debug issues independently and report design bugs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good team player, attitude and willingness for continuous learning.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Knowledge of mixed signal chip verification.
  • Experience in creating digital models for analog blocks.
  • Experience in UVM methodology and System Verilog assertions.
  • Experience in communication protocols like I2C, SPI and UART.
