Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector is currently hiring a Staff Reliability Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This role is located in Palmdale, CA. Key Responsibilities: Develops, coordinates and conducts technical reliability studies and evaluations of engineering design concepts and design of experiments (DOE) constructs. Recommends design or test methods and statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of product reliability. Complies and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics; investigates and analyzes relevant variables potentially affecting product and processes. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards. Analyzes preliminary plans and develops reliability engineering programs to achieve company, customer and governmental agency reliability objectives. May develop mathematical models to identify units, batches or processes posing excessive failure risks. As necessary, proposes changes in design or formulation to improve system and/or process reliability. May determine units and/or batches requiring environmental testing, and specifies minimum number of samples to obtain statistically valid data. Basic Qualifications: Must have a Bachelor’s of Science degree AND 14 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering, OR a Master’s degree AND 12 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering, OR a Ph.D. AND 9 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering. Must have an active DoD Secret clearance (or higher) that is in-scope (granted or renewed within the last 6 years). Must be able to attain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR/SAP) prior to the commencement of employment. Preferred Qualifications: Active/Current Special Program Access (PAR/SAP). Bachelors or Master’s degree in a STEM discipline. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
