Operational Risk Sr Advisor
The Operational Risk Senior Associate works to provide awareness and subject matter expertise on the organization's Enterprise Risk Management program framework and associated program policies. Under limited supervision, this job supports the management and oversight of business-aligned application development activities by providing advice to multiple teams and departments on how to implement and remediate necessary controls.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Possess a general understanding of the Financial Services industry.
  • Have the ability to influence peers within Risk Management and the 1st Line of Defense while keeping abreast of industry developments and risk management practices.
  • Support various risk management programs / activities while identifying opportunities to continuously improve methodologies in order to enhance the identification of key risks in a timely and efficient manner. Activities supported include, but are not limited to, Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA), Risk-based Monitoring, Issues Management, and maintenance of risk metric inventories.
  • Validate issues in accordance with standards to ensure controls are adequately designed and operating effectively to mitigate risk to an acceptable level.
  • Have the ability to synthesize information across the bank and other external sources to inform Risk Management's independent opinion of Operational Risk.
  • Experience in data analysis tools and SharePoint a plus.
  • Prior Internal Audit and/or 2nd LOD Risk Management experience preferred.

Potential Salary: $95,000.00 USD

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
