The Annuity and Retirement Income consulting team is your Wells Fargo Advisors in house team of Annuity experts. As the primary contact for Financial Advisors we support Annuity sales,  we offer assistance with: Annuity case design, Annuity book reviews, market trends & current Annuity topics, how to navigate Annuity research tools and Central Supervision issues. Through our field visits, inbound and outbound phone calls, conference calls and Retirement Income Summits, we present concepts around holistic retirement income planning. The Retirement Consultants support several FA planning tools. These are tools that are ancillary to Envision that help enhance the annual review process from a retirement perspective. Resources include: Social Security Calculator; Income Center suite of tools; Retirement Expense Analysis Worksheet; and Retirement Health Care Spending Assessment tools. 

The Annuity and Retirement Consultant will be responsible for partnering with a territory based on geography. They would partner with the Regional Presidents, Branch Managers, Financial Advisors, Client Associates and our Strategic Relationship partners to support and grow the Annuity business and support holistic client conversations for Retirement Planning. This role is an Internal Consulting Role.
 



Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in one or a combination of the following: business development or financial services consulting
  • Successfully completed FINRA Series 6 (or 7) exam to qualify for immediate registration (or FINRA recognized equivalents)



Desired Qualifications

  • FINRA registration including Series 66 (or FINRA recognized equivalents)
  • Ability to consult, build, and maintain solid working relationships in and outside of immediate department
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Certified Retirement Counselor (CRC) Designation
  • Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP)



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge and understanding of Annuity Products, Social Security and Retirement Income Strategy
  • North Carolina Life and Health license


Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
