Our work depends on a AWS Cloud Architect/Engineer joining our team supporting the Healthcare Fraud Prevention Partnership (HFPP) Trusted Third Party (TTP).

This is a remote based role. Candidates must reside in the US

In this role, a typical day will include:
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of the TTP cloud backlog, roadmap, and operations to achieve the strategic objectives of the Customer and the Program.
  • Work with program stakeholders to execute development, engineering, and design tasks to deliver cloud resources and automations as required.
  • Work with other cloud engineering team members, program stakeholders using Agile to iteratively deliver and enhance cloud infrastructure and automation capabilities.
  • Provide operations and engineering support for security, software development, ETL, and data analyst teams as needed
  • Acts as a subject-matter expert for multiple areas including; system engineering, cybersecurity, and configuration management.
  • Plan, design and implement AWS cloud hosted system additions and/or enhancements. Make recommendations to program leadership and stakeholders.
  • Evaluate new application, infrastructure and cloud decisions in existing context of applications, infrastructure, standards, current business strategy and future business strategy.
  • Implement tools and automation for infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, diagnostics, and scaling
  • Develops business case analysis on potential projects.
  • Participates in special projects as required.
  • Ensure security is integrated into all architecture solutions.
  • Identify solutions based on business and technical criteria, analyzes alternatives based on trade space, and implements designs.
  • Research current and emerging technologies and process methodologies and proposing changes and tailoring where needed.
  • Assess the system and business process architectures currently in place and works with staff to recommend improvements.
  • Ensure technical architecture teams deliver efficient and effective system solutions to support business goals and objectives.
  • Prepare and present test plan, technical presentations, and analyst briefings.
  • Identify customer requirements, analyze alternatives and conduct product recommendations related to software, platform and network configurations.
  • Provides expert guidance and leadership to less-experienced colleagues.

What you will need:
  • Ability to provide engineering expertise in support of dynamic, computationally-intensive analytic projects, including Machine Learning, in close collaboration with data scientists, and to provide visibility and planning for cost controls in the AWS cloud environment/Snowflake.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools including managing work using Jira
  • Up-to-Date knowledge and experience in cloud infrastructure design and engineering best practices
  • Experience developing Infrastructure as Code, automation, and code pipelines
  • Hands on experience designing highly-available cloud architectures
  • Planning and executing complex IT engineering projects/operations
  • Solid experience in planning, design, and implementation of AWS solutions using Lambda, API Gateway, CodeBuild, CodePipeline, EventBridge etc.
  • Hands on experience employing CI/CD and DevSecOps concepts
  • Containerization experience with Kubernetes, Docker, AWS ECS/EKS
  • Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (RHEL/Debian) and its fundamentals. Windows knowledge a plus.
  • Strong scripting skills in at least one of: python, node.js, JavaScript
  • Solid networking knowledge and experience
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with minimal supervision

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 20+ years of experience
  • Hands on experience with cloud based Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning services and concepts
  • Hands on experience with Big Data platforms such as EMR, Snowflake, Databricks, Hortonworks, Cloudera, Spark
  • Hands on experience with cloud based containerized AIops, MLops, DataOps
  • Hands on experience with data migrations
  • Experience with Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation
  • Experience in API integration
  • AWS Solutions Architect Certification
  • AWS DevOps Engineer Certification
  • Working knowledge of databases like MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc...
  • Knowledge of Jupyter Hub and Notebooks
  • Passion for automation

The likely salary range for this position is $144,000 - $216,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
