Strategy & Transformation leads strategy, operating model, and cross-functional initiatives for Public Affairs. The team drives transformation, risk management, operational excellence, and efficiency, while measuring progress against our strategy, focusing resources, and defining success measures.

About the Role:

The BSM- Meeting Planner will be part of the Wells Fargo Meetings and Events (WFME) team. This position will be responsible for managing a team of planners while also planning, producing and successfully executing remote and digital events for Business Groups and Enterprise Functions.


  • Manages a team who support meeting and event functions across the business groups and enterprise functions.
  • Presents to mid-level managers on business performance and recommends strategies to implement changes and improvements of remote and digital event planning and execution.
  • Has full management responsibility over a team that includes lower-level individual contributors. Functions managed include all meeting & event planning functions and below:
    • policy/procedure administration and adherence
    • systems/change initiatives
    • business continuity planning and execution
    • legal and regulatory adherence
    • SLA negotiation/ development
    • reporting and analysis
    • budgeting
    • risk assessments
  • Manages and executes all logistical aspects of enterprise level, meetings, conferences or events or manage longer-term projects.
  • Establishes and maintains ongoing vendor relationships to ensure they are cost-effective and deliver quality service.
  • Fosters relationships with LOB liaisons and displays leadership skills in managing and executing meetings.
  • Ensures alignment to the LOB strategy.
  • Evaluates event effectiveness and future improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and implement project processes, procedures & performance metrics.
  • Involved in planner industry forums and is actively involved and up-to-date on industry trends.

    Essential Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Corporate meeting & event planning experience
  • 2+ years of experience hosting or leading digital events using various platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Teams Live Events, Kaltura, Intrado, WebEx,Adobe Connect, Blue Jeans or similar streaming/collaboration platforms
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal to no supervision
  • Advance Microsoft Office Skills

  • Ability to manage confidential materials in a professional manner
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, including leading cross-functional teams and/or complex initiatives requiring cross-functional groups to work together to achieve success

  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment
