The Consumer Lending Technology group consists of Home lending, Auto and Platform support for various applications across retail/mortgage lending businesses. From achieving sustainable homeownership, managing credit, purchasing a car to financing college, Wells Fargo Consumer Lending cares about our customers. Today, our diversified team provides home lending, auto loans, and student loans to more than 30 million customers.

About the Role


We are looking for seasoned Software Engineer/SRE who enjoys and thrives on solving complex problems at scale. This role would be an awesome fit for someone with expertise with Infrastructure automation, but also a passion for writing clean and scalable software.

Responsibilities

  • Influence and collaborate across orgs to drive SRE best practices.
  • Working with stake holder to define SLIs and SLOs.
  • Building dashboards using Graphana and Kibana.
  • Implementing the data pipelines for ingesting the data into Elastic.
  • Identifying and automating the redundant tasks.
  • Drive incident management and post-mortem analysis.
  • Improve areas like capacity planning, configuration management and monitoring.
  • Mentoring the junior team members on their journey as an SRE.
  • Self-start, lead, and drive initiatives with little to no oversight.
  • Hands-on understanding/experience on production support - L1, L2 & L3
  • Hands-on experience on PAC2000/ServiceNow for proper analyzing, fixing the tickets w.r.t production support

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Related Field.
  • 8+ years of experience in an SRE or DevOps role, preferably in a hybrid infrastructure & cloud environment.
  • 3+ years of development experience in one or more or programming languages.
  • 3+ years of experience in building application dashboards for proactive monitoring, setting up Alerts.
  • 3+ years of experience in production support area for fixing Problem Tickets with L1, L2 & L3 support experience
  • Proven Technical Expertise with one or more of the following:
    • Automation: Ansible, GitHub, Python, Java, Shell, PowerShell
    • Observability: Grafana, Elastic Search, Kibana, Kafka, Apache Airflow, AppDynamics, Splunk, Jaeger, Zipkin
    • Work Management: Jira, Confluence
    • OS and Platform: Windows, Linux, Kubernetes, PCF
  • Familiarity with large scale distributed systems and high-availability architectures.
  • Exposure and experience in agile development life cycle.
  • Highly motivated person with the ability to learn new technologies hands on an on-going basis.
  • Excellent written communication, interpersonal communication, and documentation skills.
