Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Facilities Planner to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne FL. Primary Duties will include: Responsible for the overall asset management, work planning, and spare part inventory using the MAXIMO computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Assist with the develop job plans for common maintenance tasks. Analysis of the Maintenance Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure high integrity of the centralized information and identify opportunities for improvement of the existing processes. Plan all maintenance work orders by analyzing basic job steps, determining their relative sequence, and identifying parts, materials, special tools, safety requirements, heavy equipment, and skills required for each step. Review all completed work orders to document completed work, record material used, and determine craft hours spent versus the job plan estimate. Also, maintain proper records for cost and repair history of equipment. Maintain an appropriate backlog of effectively planned work ready for scheduling based on priorities established by Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering. Coordinate with all stakeholders as necessary to ensure efficient maintenance activity execution. Work directly with Maintenance and Production Supervisors to plan preventative and corrective maintenance work orders, develop weekly and long-term schedules, and assist with the planning of plant shutdowns. Support maintenance department staff and maintain training records Self-starter with the ability to work with minimum supervision, ability to multitask and exercise good judgment, with good follow-up skills. Basic Qualifications: Minimum of a bachelor's degree, and six (6) years of facilities maintenance experience OR ten (10) years of facilities maintenance experience with a high school diploma. 6 years of Experience working in MAXIMO (or a similar CMMS). Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift/move 25 pounds 4 years of experience planning or executing maintenance activities, such as planning maintenance work for facilities infrastructure and/or production equipment. 4 years of Aerospace/ Commercial industry facilities maintenance experience working with electrical, HVAC, and plumbing, trades 4 years of Microsoft Office software suite. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (DoD TS/SCI with SSBI). Preferred Qualifications: Current secret clearance. Experience working in a mission critical facility environment by participating in maintenance activities for several different trade disciplines. Certificate in MAXIMO a plus. Experience working with building management systems (BMS) and related controls. Familiarity working with complex facilities infrastructure feeding clean rooms/labs, offices, and manufacturing spaces.
