The Chief Operating Office (COO) is responsible for delivering a more consistent approach to business operations across Wells Fargo, strengthening the company’s risk and control infrastructure, and delivering effective and efficient enterprise services to employees and customers.

The COO group includes the head of Operations, who is jointly responsible for line of business operations with each of the five LOB CEOs. Operations functions include contact center operations, client servicing support, money movements within our businesses, lending operations, and other functions.

The COO group also includes a number of teams dedicated to strengthening Wells Fargo’s risk and control infrastructure. These include the Control Executive team; Regulatory and Policy Affairs; Enterprise Customer Excellence; Sales Practices Oversight and Management; and Strategic Execution and Operations.

The Chief Administrative Office, encompassing the Corporate Properties Group; Corporate Security; Enterprise Business Resiliency; Strategic Programs and Process Improvement; Enterprise Change Management; Supply Chain Management; and Data Management and Insights, delivers important services for our employees and customers.

Responsible for managing a team which may include oversight of licensed professionals. Defines and plans the achievement of service goals and objectives. Establishes policies, procedures, and service standards to ensure quality and efficiency as well as compliance with government regulations and company policy. Influences performance of a business unit or functional area by working as a key member of the decision making management team on strategy, operations management, and building organizational effectiveness and performance. Oversees implementation of new and revised systems, policies, and guidelines which have a significant impact on the unit, department, or functional area. Directs team as needed to accomplish goals, resolving the most complex problems or inquiries.

As an Employee Manager, you are expected to achieve success by leading yourself, your team, and the business. Specifically, you will: 

  • Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your employees feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them.
  • Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented employees, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing employees, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.
     


Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in one or more of the following environments: customer or investor-facing, disputes, claims, fraud resolution, brokerage operations, client account supervision, risk, or compliance
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • Successfully completed FINRA SIE and Series 7 exams to qualify for immediate registration (or FINRA recognized equivalents) Wells Fargo will initiate financial and criminal background review process at the time of offer acceptance



Desired Qualifications

  • A BA/BS degree or higher in business or finance
  • Knowledge and understanding of securities industry
  • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance requirements surrounding SEC, FINRA, and international regulations for building technological solutions
  • Experience with Wells Fargo complaints management process
  • Ability to develop and negotiate solutions to issues with partners or clients including escalations as needed
  • Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of customers, team members and management
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills



Job Expectations

  • Successfully completed FINRA Series 9/10 or 24 to qualify for immediate registration or ability to obtain within a 90 time period if not immediately available to transfer upon hire.
  • Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position.
