Summary

The Communication Specialist EMT/Paramedic will be the primary contact for requests to transfer and transport patients. The Communication Specialist will coordinate and monitor transport by ground ambulance, helicopter and fixed wing aircraft and accurately document all related written and computerized information in a dynamic, fast paced, high volume and high-stress environment. Individuals in this position should be highly organized and have strong customer service, communication, computer skills and have the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • EMT required, EMT-P preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of field or dispatch experience is required
  • CPR – BLS required within 90 days of employment
  • Metro Communications Center Training within 90 days of employment
