We are currently seeking a System Security Engineer (Level 3 / 4) – Cybersecurity/Anti-Tamper **ACTIVE CLEARANCE ** to work with our talented Advanced Weapons team in Northridge, CA. In this role, the selected candidate will (but not be limited to): Identify and derive system-level system security (e.g. cybersecurity/anti-tamper) requirements and derive/allocate to lower level requirements Design, develop, test, and evaluate information system security throughout the systems development life cycle Conducts software and systems engineering and software systems research to develop new capabilities, ensuring cybersecurity is fully integrated Architect a system that is resistant to tampering and cyber-attacks using design techniques suggested in government furnished implementation guides Implement security improvements/designs by assessing current situation; evaluating industry and Department of Defense (DoD) standards and trends; anticipating requirements Conduct comprehensive technology research to evaluate potential vulnerabilities in cyber systems Analyzes the security of new or existing computer applications, software, or specialized utility programs and provides actionable results Perform US Government Software Assurance (SWA) on a program Understand and implement software provenance and software supply/tool chain security mechanisms Develop assessment plans and measures of performance/effectiveness Conduct strategic and operational effectiveness assessments as required for cyber events Plan, prepare, and execute tests of systems to evaluate results against specifications and requirements as well as analyze/report test results Determine whether systems performed as expected and provides input to the determination of operational effectiveness Responsible for the analysis and development of the integration, testing, operations, and maintenance of systems security Develop cyber indicators to maintain awareness of the status of the highly dynamic operating environment Determine how threats communicate, move, and operate based on knowledge of adversarial technologies Perform functional analysis and systems trade studies for technical solutions with respect to concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, and maintenance by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems Develop standard and improvement processes for assessing, designing, implementing, and verifying security requirements Interface with inter-organizational management and external customers to communicate technical briefing and program status Relocation assistance, while not guaranteed, may be available. This position is contingent upon available funding/program award. The selected candidate for this position is required to be on-site. This position can be filled as a Principal Systems Engineer (T03) or Sr. Principal Systems Engineer (T04) level.  Basic qualifications for each level are listed below. Basic qualifications for a Principal Systems Engineer level (T03) are:  Active DoD Secret Clearance Bachelor of Science in an engineering/computer science discipline and a minimum of five (5) years of engineering, computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience Minimum two (2) years of cybersecurity/anti-tamper-related experience Must have proven experience in communicating with all levels of peers, management and customers in a methodical, detailed and process oriented fashion. Must have demonstrated experience in solving technical problems independently with minimal supervision. Basic qualifications for a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer level (T04) are:  Active DoD Secret Clearance Bachelor of Science in an engineering/computer science discipline and a minimum of nine (9) years of engineering, computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience Minimum three (3) years of cybersecurity/anti-tamper-related experience Must have proven experience in communicating with all levels of peers, management and customers in a methodical, detailed and process oriented fashion. Must have demonstrated experience in solving technical problems independently with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications Minimum five (5) years of cybersecurity/anti-tamper-related experience Experience with HP Fortify Experience working in the defense industry or weapon system Active DoD Secret Clearance with periodic reinvestigation within the last five (5) years. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
