Qualified candidates will apply strong systems engineering knowledge and understanding across disciplines and work with the various systems, hardware, and software teams. Our engineers are encouraged to innovate to solve problems and identify improvements. Roles & Responsibilities: BIT & CAL can involve any/all parts of the sensor system – BIT modes confirm functions or systems are working properly and Calibrations allow capture and correction or compensation for any errors so that sensor performance levels are not impacted. The candidate engineer will have responsibilities that span the system BIT/Calibration development cycle, which includes: Deriving BIT/Calibration requirements; Design of the BIT/diagnostic and calibration mode; Test effectiveness modeling and analysis; Software development and integration; Verifying embedded implementation of the BIT/Calibration mode.  Responsibilities may also include producing publication-quality documentation and supporting Factory Test activities, System Integration & Test, and field support.  Candidates should be highly motivated engineers who can work both independently and in team environments. The sensor systems, simulation software and workflow is fairly complex therefore strong problem solving skills are desired. The role is multidisciplinary in nature and provides tremendous technical growth opportunities. Key Traits and Actions for Success in this Role:  A desire to apply a multi-disciplinary approach to problems Independence and a sense of ownership of one’s work Dedication to excellence in technical execution A desire to learn and excel in software development (C++, python), sensor systems engineering, and technical writing. Develop an in-depth understanding of Sensors Hardware capability. Define requirements to maintain system performance. Develop expertise in signal processing techniques, implement system Modeling and Simulation, and increase Matlab/C++ skills. Have an active role in supporting Sensor Integration and Test to gain valuable trouble shooting experience while working with the latest test equipment. This wide breadth of systems exposure will set an individual on a strong Systems Engineering career path, working on some of our nation’ most challenging problems and providing solutions to keep our country safe. Basic Qualifications for a Level 2: Ability to obtain within the first 12 months and sustain a DoD Secret security clearance Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Math, or other related technical curriculum with at least 0-2 years relevant experience (see position summary) Some proficiency with MATLAB for data analysis. US Citizenship is required. Basic Qualifications for a Level 3: Active DoD Secret security clearance prior to starting Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Math, or other related technical curriculum with at least 5 years of related experience (see position summary), or 3 years related experience with a Master's Degree, or 0yrs with a PhD. Higher proficiency with MATLAB for data analysis. US Citizenship is required. Preferred Qualifications: Active DoD Top Secret Clearance Master's Degree or PhD including electives in radar techniques and signal processing Domain experience in sensor simulations for RF sensors Experience with integration and test of RADAR, SIGINT, or EW systems. Greater programming experience in MATLAB and C/C++.
