Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is seeking experienced F-35 Field Team Avionics Technicians.  Northrop Grumman is standing up a DoN F-35 program CFT operations to cover five total sites throughout the US and the selected candidate's performance will help Northrop Grumman achieve superior results on the highly visible F-35 program.  The selected candidate will conduct F-35 program Depot-Level MRO&U operations on the avionics and electrical system of the F-35, performing duties required to lay out, fabricate, and install electrical wiring or coaxial cable and electrical components on aircraft. Interpreting technical blue print/drawings, process specifications, manufacture instructions, and documenting maintenance. Checks, tests, and troubleshoots avionics and electrical systems for conformance to specifications and performs repair, removal, and reinstallation of wiring as necessary. Cuts wire to length; strips insulation from wire ends, and insulates connections with plastic sleeves.  Utilize aircraft ground support equipment to perform aircraft maintenance tasks. Applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems. Must be willing to learn other specialties for total team performance in aircraft build, removal and installation of aircraft components, operational and functional checks, and modification or other maintenance roles.  Conduct maintenance operations in accordance with policies and procedures set forth by governing regulatory documents to include: tool control, quality, safety, aircraft maintenance documentation, etc. Proficiency with fiber optic and coaxial cable maintenance processes and procedures is highly desirable for this position. Will perform duties as part of a Contract Field Team (CFT) responsible for depot level modifications performed at customer locations. As part of the CFT, members are expected to assist in other technical disciplines as requested by team leads or management. Basic Qualifications: Air Force 5 or 7 Level, US Navy or Marine Corps CDI, or equivalent. High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 4 Years of avionics experience. Ability to read and interpret technical data. Must have an Active Secret Clearance or higher (US Citizenship required) Must be able to successfully complete and pass government required F-35 trainings (Advanced Technical Training and/or Cadre Course) for Continued Employment Must be willing to provide temporary support to our other CFT locations at NAS Lemoore, MCAS Miramar, MCAS Cherry Point, MCAS Beaufort or MCAS Yuma should the need arise Able to meet the physical demands of this position, including:  regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist. Preferred Qualifications: F-22 or F-35 Avionics Experience Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
