Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Guidance System Architect - Interfaces & Architecture. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the GBSD program.  This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. What you'll get to do: NG Space Systems has an opening for a Guidance System Architect to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This role will be a member of a small team of system engineers who will continue to mature the Guidance System’s system engineering products from Preliminary Design phase to a Critical Design Review and beyond, focusing on interfaces & architecture maturation and integration. The role includes working in a fully immersed Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach for systems engineering. Individual will be responsible for the development of the Guidance element’s system engineering products, maturing Guidance element requirement specifications, interface control documents (ICDs) and system architecture definition as well as ensuring vertical and horizontal integration of the Guidance system requirements, interfaces and design. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.   You’ll Bring These Qualifications: (This role may be filled at the Systems Architect level or Principal Systems Architect level) Bachelor's in Science in a STEM discipline Minimum 2 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; 0 years with a Masters (Principal level requires 5 years with a Bachelor's or 3 years with a Master's) MBSE experience having implemented system architecture definition using UPDM and/or SysML in an MBSE tool such as MagicDraw (Cameo Enterprise Architect), Rhapsody, CORE etc. Experience developing ICDs and defining interfaces in an MBSE environment Experience with DOORS requirements management tool Active Secret Security Clearance and ability to obtain a special access clearance These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have: Extensive knowledge of Cameo Enterprise Architect Mature requirements definition experience including definition of verification plans Experience working in an Agile team or even leading a scrum team Understanding of GN&C algorithms and flight critical software development Understanding of the following specialty areas: nuclear surety, cybersecurity, flight safety Working understanding of basic control system theory and vehicle management systems / guidance system design Interest in one of the following disciplines: guidance & control systems, inertial sensors, navigation systems or vehicle management systems Active Top Secret Security Clearance #GBSDsystems Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
