Enterprise Analytics and Data Science (EADS)
brings a team member-based approach to the international talent pool focusing on analytical and AI/ML solutions to support the organization operate successfully today, and continue on the right trajectory to operate successfully in the future. AI/ML COE is a part of EADS Responsible for the design, development and maintenance of internal, vendor-built, and embedded AI products and solutions using structured and unstructured data

About the Role


The Enterprise Analytics and Data Science (EADS) organization is looking for an established and proven AI/ML product and platform leader to join our team and help us with envisioning, planning, building, and managing innovative AI products for Wells Fargo. This leadership role will play a key part in setting up the product management capability in the AI/ML COE for all our existing and new products/solutions. The incumbent is expected to have the required technical depth in software based products and have familiarity with AI/ML concepts to be able to drive the product vision working with technology, engineering and data science teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Use Cases: Identifies business value, defines ROI and GTM strategy, and drives buy-ins
  • Market Research: Studies market trends and best practices and incorporates them in the product
  • Persona Management & Customer Journeys: Creates and manages core personas and their customer journeys. Creates user stories
  • Product Backlog Management: Always maintains a healthy product backlog
  • Product Implementation: Works with the technology team to plan, execute, and deliver product releases, feature enhancements. Work closely on UI/UX design
  • Product Testing: Participates in testing product features
  • Product Production Support: Supports product enablement, provisioning, and production support
  • Product Training & Demos: Provides and support frequent demos to internal customers
  • Product Adoption & Growth: Supports product adoption and growth strategy. Interact with different business leaders and COE's to drive adoption
  • Product KPI Definition & Tracking: Monitors product related performance and usage KPIs, and identifies opportunities for improving the user experience
  • Provide thought leadership and drive product development / solution engineering
  • Lead cloud migration strategy for AI/ML platforms and products (from on-prem to private cloud to public cloud)
  • Be a talent magnet by collaborating with various universities and leveraging network across companies
  • Demonstrated ability to speak at internal and external conferences
  • Work closely with innovation group, think tanks within WF and across the industry
  • Work closely with business partners, data stewards, ML engineering and other IT teams to create, manage and enhance AI/ML products. Lead product strategy
  • Play a matrix leadership role leading various functions within products, platforms, operations and governance

Market Skills and Certifications


Essential Qualifications


  • 12 plus years of total experience across product management, solution engineering, software development
  • 8 plus years of core enterprise or B2B software product management
  • B.S. / B.E. / B.Tech in quantitative disciplines like operations research, statistics, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, engineering, AI/ML
  • Preferred : MBA from renowned business schools or Masters degree in business disciplines on top of Bachelors in quantitative fields
  • Hands on experience in full lifecycle of the product from ideation, business case development, product build, testing, delivery, training, support and adoption. Experience with product portfolio in Saas, MLaaS space is a bonus
  • 5 plus years as a product manager in at least 2 of these areas – AI, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Natural Language Generation, Big Data, Chatbots, Recommendation engines, ML Ops, Data Science modeling platforms.
  • Top candidate would have experience in building or managing a distributed computing, multi-tenancy platform, built on a big data ecosystem as a Product Manager.
  • Top candidate would have worked on one of these Data Science Platforms: Domino Data Labs, Databricks, H2O.ai, Datakitchen, Dataiku, C3.AI, Algorithmia, IBM CP4D, Modelshop, ModelOp, Sigopt, Datarobot ParallelIM, Kubeflow, Valohai, Spell.
  • Technical software development experience in the field of data driven products is a plus
  • 5 plus years of good team handling experience of managing people
  • Familiarity with AI/ML and NLP modeling techniques like Random forest, XGboost, Deep learning, Topic modeling, Text analytics
  • Able to guide, mentor and provide assistance to the team and impart vision
  • Persuasive written and verbal communication skills, writing white papers is a plus
  • Prior experience of attending prestigious conferences as an attendee or as panelist or speaker is weighed heavily
  • Proven experience in the area of innovation evidenced by successful holding of one or more patents
  • Visiting faculty or expert professionals, with the ability to see through the product roadmap for 2 or more years


Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with ML engineering deployment frameworks like ML flow, Kubeflow, Containerization, Orchestration and that of using REST API's, Flask, Django, etc.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML modeling frameworks like Scikit-learn, SparkML, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Detail oriented, results driven, and has the ability to navigate in a quickly changing and high demand environment while balancing multiple priorities
  • Ability to research and report on a variety of issues using problem solving skills
  • Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management
  • Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
  • Ability to learn the business aspects quickly, multitask and prioritize between projects.
