Finance brings together enterprise functions that drive Wells Fargo's financial management, including accounting and control, financial planning and analysis, line of business finance, asset-liability management, treasury, tax management, and the company's investment portfolios. They also inform shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, employees, and leaders of the company's financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines.

The Capital Markets Liquidity Management (CMLM) team is looking for a highly motivated individual with financial services industry, Capital Markets, Financial Analysis and Reporting experience to support liquidity analysis and reporting of the firm’s Fixed Income and Equity Trading, Secured Funding/Lending and Brokerage activities.  

The CMLM is part of Corporate Treasury within Wells Fargo Corporate Finance and is responsible for analysis and management of the Firm's liquidity risk associated with capital markets activities and all related reporting to WFC Senior Management, the Board of Directors and Regulators.  

The Treasury Finance Consultant position provides a unique opportunity to gain a thorough understanding of Wells Fargo’s liquidity profile, specifically as it relates to Corporate Investment Banking (CIB) and Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) businesses, and add value to the company’s risk management practices.  

Specific responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Daily analysis and reporting of the firm’s trading, secured funding/lending, and brokerage activities; with a focus on understanding the drivers behind the movements through time.
  • Working with data providers and other related parties to enhance data quality, integrity and availability to assist in automating data management, reconciliations and reporting functions.
  • Establishing requirements to improve reporting in the data mart and to complete testing of implementation.
  • Collaborate in a team environment to enhance efficiency of Risk Management and Regulatory Reporting processes.
  • Preparation of additional ad-hoc analyses and completing special projects within tight deadlines.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics and reporting; or a BS/BA degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business and 2+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics or reporting



Desired Qualifications

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting
  • Ability to successfully operate in a complex and matrixed environment
  • 2+ years of securities industry experience
  • Financial analysis or accounting experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of database querying and creating ad hoc reporting results using TSQL or similar querying methods
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial analysis, forecasting and analyzing interest income and balance sheet behavior
  • Knowledge and understanding of fixed income securities, bonds, collateralized mortgage obligations (CMO), Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS), and Residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS)
  • Knowledge and understanding of treasury management industry: asset liability management (ALM), liquidity management, and stress testing
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Experience with general ledgers and accounting policies



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with financial models especially in areas of documentation and governance
  • 2+ years of Liquidity or other Corporate Treasury experience, or experience supporting  Wholesale Broker Dealer products and businesses
  • Knowledge and understanding of Liquidity based regulatory reporting requirements: FR2052a, Liquidity Coverage Ratio, Net Stable Funding Ratio 
  • Experience with financial systems project development (SDLC) and user acceptance testing
