The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Procurement Field Representative (level 4) to join our Global Field Operations (GFO) team in Dallas / Fort Worth, Texas.

The selected individual will work regional supplier assignments on the GFO- North America Central region team supporting the BCA, BDS, and BGS Supply business units and Supply Chain teams. The primary focus will entail supplier facing on-site engagement in and around the Dallas / Fort Worth area and other Texas & South Central region area suppliers; to drive improved quality, delivery, and overall supplier performance in this supply base. This position requires significant travel in Texas and around the Region (>50%).

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to be on-site at Supplier facilities, and may be required to work onsite occasionally at a Boeing site to meet business needs.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage and measure supplier performance.
  • Develop and generate supplier performance metrics.
  • Provide direction to suppliers to improve their performance to contractual requirements (quality, delivery, cost, technical, safety, communication, etc.).
  • Lead supplier performance reviews.
  • Evaluate risks and opportunities; assist suppliers in implementing risk mitigation plans.
  • Communicate performance to plan to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Lead cross functional team efforts to assess supplier processes and systems.
  • Work with internal and external resources, utilizing tools, processes and methods to enhance supplier performance to meet customer and program requirements.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and supply chain personnel.
  • Develop and utilize communication tools and plans.
  • Identify, establish and maintain priorities for deliveries of products, services and data.
  • Communicate supplier performance status to programs, internal business partners, customers and all other stakeholders; with excellent verbal, reading, technical, and writing skills.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services.
  • 5+ years of experience in root cause analysis and corrective action.
  • 5+ years of experience in a role that required Scheduling, Project and/or Program Management skills.
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to travel up to 20-40% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Industrial Engineering Skills.
  • Lean Manufacturing Skills.
  • Aerospace Engineering Technical Skills.
  • Experience working in Procurement and/or Contract Administration roles.
  • Experience working in Manufacturing Operations.

Typical Education/ Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:
