Logistics Services Director


Job Description:

The Logistics Services Director will be responsible for managing the strategic and tactical planning for a key distribution facility in Reno, NV. This facility is approximately 600,000 sq ft in size and has more than 800 employees to maintain the diverse processes and technologies required to transact an average of 16,000 lines per day.

What you will be doing

  • Provide strategic vision, direction and leadership for facilities and business as well as ensuring they are in compliance with all regulations.

  • Mange the specific P&L's for each of the organizations and ensure all metrics are achieved or re-calibrated strategically.

  • Assign and direct activities and projects across the organization to meet various customer, supplier, transportation and distribution needs.

  • Maintain an understanding of all the core business processes for your supported business group and drive initiatives for continuous improvements and processes.

  • Identify, develop and recommend strategic initiatives for establishing external competitive advantages.

  • Capture, report and understand the various costs and cost drivers and implement improvement programs where synergies exist among all the EAD or VAS businesses.

  • Prepare financial analyses of impacts on business operations and make recommendations to gain the competitive advantage.

  • Maintain knowledge of EAD environmental and compliance regulations and oversee and ensure all logistics-related operations comply with applicable environmental, health, safety, and other regulatory rules and regulations (DOT, HIPAA, etc).

  • Partner and collaborate with the EHS and quality organizations as needed.

  • Provide leadership and mentoring to managers, supervisors, and/or professional staff.

  • Foster and maintain a culture of Servant Leadership through example while ensuring Arrow remains an employer of choice.

What we're looking for

  • 15 years of related experience with a 4- year degree; or 12 years an advanced degree; or equivalent combination of education and progressive experience

  • Strong leadership experience

  • Demonstrated ability to lead the strategic and tactical planning and strategies for either a single or multiple reverse logistics, VAS or EAD facility and business

  • Experience driving planning and production, including business, production and/or organization priorities

  • Critical decision-making capability, guided by resource availability and functional objectives

  • Anticipatory approach to problem-solving

  • Ability to develop plans and deliver results in fast-changing business and/or regulatory environments

  • Strategic approach and input to functions or departmental strategy

  • Prior success managing large, diverse teams of managers and/or senior professionals

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate:

$151,875.00 - $185,625.00

Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
