Requisition Number: 2021-376 Business Unit: College of Medicine Department: Int Med Oncology/Hematology 50000591 Reg-Temp: Full-Time Regular Position Summary: Postdoctoral Research Associate Advertisement – The Division of Hematology & Oncology, University of Nebraska Medical Center (Omaha), seeks a postdoctoral research associate, with a degree in biochemistry, immunology, pharmacology, physiology, pathology, or related field and experience in animal experiments and cell culture work, flow cytometry, microscopy, PCR /RT- PCR /quantitative real-time PCR , Western blot analysis, microscopy, and other procedures.   Successful applicant's work will include investigation of novel anti-cancer agents. Studies will include investigation of underlying mechanisms of action and determining the preclinical properties, including but not limited to: dose-finding/toxicity studies, pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic evaluations, determination of anti-cancer activity in a variety of mouse models, and evaluation of novel therapies in combination with other anti-cancer agents. Work will include collection, analysis, and interpretation of data, presentation at professional meetings, manuscript preparation, and grant writing.  The successful candidate will have first-author publications in peer-reviewed journals and the ability to write research papers. The successful candidate must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and image and statistical analysis software is required.  Required Qualifications: Ph.D. Salary Range: Salary Commensurate with Experience
