Job Description:

We are currently seeking qualified candidates to be part of our Industrial Market -Environmental team contributing as a Senior Project Manager in our Oakville office.  The right candidate would also manage a subset of our environmental team having several direct reporting staff.

The primary responsibilities for this position will include consulting, project management, coordinating investigations and investigations, and preparing reports for industrial and public sector clients.  Specific job description includes but is not limited to the following:

Project management duties primarily focused on:

  • Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments to CSA and O.Reg.153/04 requirements;
  • Risk assessment;
  • Remedial design and site remediation; including excavations, ISCO, bioremediation, permeable and impermeable barriers, and mechanical technologies (air sparge, pump and treat, dual phase extraction, etc).
  • Designated and Hazardous Substances Surveys
  • Routine Soil and groundwater monitoring,
  • Excess Soil and Waste Management.
  • Peer review of technical documents and reports;
  • Proposal preparation;
  • Tracking and maintaining budgets and project finances;
  • Preparing Reports;
  • Maintain client relationships in various industries;
  • Working with clients, junior staff, and other project managers.

As we diversify our portfolio of environmental projects, other projects may include:

  • Environmental management plans
  • Environmental permitting and monitoring related to construction
  • Hydrogeology Assessments: modeling and field investigation


  • Bachelor's degree in geo-environmental sciences, environmental engineering or related technical field
  • 10+ years of Environmental Site Assessment and Remediation experience on large scale programs including experience working with major oil & gas, commercial & government clients
  • Successful history of managing or mentoring staff.
  • Experience managing clients and winning work.
  • Incumbent should have a broad general technical background. 
  • Professional registration may also be required (P.Eng or P.Geo)
  • Must have the ability to manage projects, interface with clients and enjoy being hands on technically in the project.  
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards Incumbent must meet Parsons' project management certification requirements. 
  • Proven ability to perform in a management capacity, excellent written and oral communications
