Honeywell is looking for a Site Business Leader  in the Metro DC/Virginia area to manage the long-term operation of a 57,000 SF 55MW COGEN central power and utility plant that provides electricity, steam, hot and chilled water to nearly 4 million SF of complex research facilities. As Business leader  you will provide leadership to the Site Operations, Field Service and O&M team including any business, technical or logistical issues that may arise for the plant and campus facilities.  The position will also be responsible for the growth  which includes SPOT and Service Jobs to drive the contract attach rate for  the campus.  

You will apply your leadership skills to improve team performance. You will liaise with multiple factions to help prevent and resolve Site Asset performance and uptime to meet the contract KPI’s . You will drive and improve metric reporting procedures and own financial metrics, targets, budgets and AOP planning . You will lead quick and effective closure of any improvement opportunities. You will define team expectations and communicate those to the customers and the team.

As Site Business Leader , you will be a leader responsible for the successful operation of the Utility Plant and Campus buildings. 

The successful candidate will be able to draw from previous O&M knowledge and power generation, service experience.

Primary duties include but not limited to: 

·       Review Contract performance business score card with client

·       Be Honeywell Single point of contact for Client and Energy Contract

·       Work with Honeywell Functional leaders to bring in best practice and growth

·       Drive annual cost planning and savings by working with Sourcing leader to drive site specific initiative program

·       Work with Operation and Building Supervisor O&M team to bring in best practice and productivity

·       Leverage Technology and SW offerings to improve Asset Reliability and Performance

·       Provide daily direction to site operations personnel and subcontractors, Field Service leaders in Building Automation, Plumbing, Lighting, General Repair and HVAC, Etc.

·       Review Plant and Building Safety procedures and ensure compliance across the site

·       Prime responsibility will be to provide leadership and technical solutions to operations in the power generation processes and facilities.

·       Drive Knowledge management at site and Employee engagement -Team recognition , Mentoring , Training and Certification

·        

·       Review ar Preventive Maintenance SOP  all site equipment.

·       Engage with Federal Sales Rep  to drive Account plan to increase wallet share by driving Honeywell New offerings

·       Work with Sourcing team to establish a strong vendor management program

·       Ensure Annual audit of the Critical Assets for Safe and Reliable operation

·       Schedule and coordinate all site repairs, improvements, and overhauls. Including capital improvement plans and schedules.

·       Maintain historical operating data and work with Measurement & Verification Team to analyze and monitor key parameters and maximize operating efficiency.

·       Be problem solver , Analyze processes, develop new operating techniques and recommend changes or capital expenditures.

·       Demonstrate history in understanding service business financials to include forecasting, revenue-related activities with a focus on service projects, service contracts and time & material work orders.

·       Actively monitor and manage business profitability and be able to communicate prior experience with margin improvement initiatives.

·       Effectively work with Field Service Supervisors on service contract renewal strategy and monthly activities.

·       Have a strong history with customer loyalty and customer satisfaction programs.

·       Understand Building Automation, mechanical service, site operations including cogeneration, plumbing, electrical and general maintenance

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with high pressure boilers, 13.8 kV electrical generation and distribution
  • 5 years of experience of service and lab office buildings
  • 5 years of experience Plant/Site management experience from operations and maintenance perspective
  • 5 years of experience Track record with Federal government customers and compliance

WE VALUE

  • BA/BS in engineering or technical degree
  • Proven successes in managing external suppliers and partners.  
  • Good understanding pf CMMS platform. Maximo experience would be preferable.
  • Experience with submission of environmental permit reporting
  • Experience with all facets of plant operations.
  • Previous industry experience
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently.
  • Ability to use experience to appropriately apply the established standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a team.
  • Previous customer service experience.
