Enterprise Overview:
This is the first level operations managerial position. Performs all managerial functions, leads project work, and continually utilizes independent judgment. Provides day-to-day direction for a small unit or work team in a GWIM operations function in a specific product areas such as funds transfer, collateral mgt/margins, corporate actions, static data/data management, control, trader support, clearance/settlement, documentation/confirmations, customer service, new accounts, client valuations, document processing or statement/billing processing. Focuses on the day-to-day resolution of operations problems and execution of transactions which may require reviewing and authorizing G/L entries and payments, approving exception processing, etc. Responsibilities may also include controlling workflow, performing routine management functions such as interviewing, training, performance planning, and coaching. The role may also entail evaluation of regulatory and/or financial risks. This associate may review operational procedures and implement changes ensuring enforcement and adherence. Provides technical guidance to associates to resolve operational problems and may handle exceptional or sensitive transactions. Requires operations knowledge with work experience in the specific functional area or product line managed. Less than 50% of time is spent doing actual production work. Typically 3-5 years of Operations experience with 1-2 years of supervisory experience. Must have 2 or more direct reports.

LOB Description:
Manages a low to moderate complexity change project to a full-scale deployment in a live environment. Works under regular supervision to support projects relating to corporate change initiatives impacting multiple business units, product lines, or business processes. Projects may require cross-divisional coordination, communication, influence and negotiation. Provides advanced analytical support for change initiatives through regular prescribed routines. Responsible for significant contributions to the design, development and completion of project deliverables. Responsible for timely completion of project deliverables. Works with project team members on all phases of initiatives. Contributes to projects impacting a business unit, product line, or business process. Develops and revises project materials and maintains project documentation. Explains and frames the benefits of a project in terms that are meaningful to the audience. Uses the right questions and tools to uncover root causes to business challenges, identify opportunities, and make recommendations. Typically 1 to 2 years of project management experience. This role will primarily be working on projects relating to applications for Margin, Obligation processing/monitoring, and Option Modeling. An operational knowledge of the Naked Option Stress Analysis Tool (NOSA), the Commitment Tracking System (CTS), and Margin requirements/calculations is a plus.

Required Skills:
  • Experience in business analysis, process design and project management, including development of formal business requirements documents (BRDs) and / or Agile epics/stories and business process flows as well as functional requirements for technology solutions
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to tell a story; leveraging analysis to identify and solve business problems by creating actionable recommendations
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to facilitate and lead remote, cross-functional, cross-location meetings
  • Ability to effectively build and maintain strong internal/external relationships and the courage to influence and challenge when necessary
  • Detail oriented, intellectually curious, and self-driven; ability to think independently
  • Ability to interact with various band levels
  • Ability to work within an environment with a variety of opinions and priorities and be able to get to a resolution and agreement
  • Ability to formulate outputs derived from projects into concise and insightful presentations
