The Consumer Lending team partners with other businesses across Wells Fargo to create and deliver transformational experiences that help customers gain access to credit. The vision for the Consumer Lending business is to leverage technology and data to make it simple for customers to easily access credit when and where they need it. Consumer Lending serves customers across the country through our distribution network of more than 5,300 retail banking branches and Home Lending offices, as well as online and digital channels.

The Home Lending - Product Strategy & Delivery team is hiring 1 Business Systems Consultant supporting the functional teams aligned to our Product Management teams in the Servicing line of business. The Business Systems Consultant role will focus on work for the Customer Account Management product area.

This role will engage with teams focused on the successful execution of all work associated with their respective Product Focus Area.  This may include partnering with Project Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and business operational team members to help drive strategic initiatives to accomplish the Objectives and Key Results for the business. This could include engagement with Agile, and/or Waterfall efforts. Depending on effort approach (Agile or Waterfall) this role may:

  • Engage on a persistent Agile Scrum team as a core team member
  • Act as a liaison between client area and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of complex business problems to be solved with automated systems.
  • Work with business operational SMEs to gather and write requirements
  • Work with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes.
  • Assist with development of test plan components and test scripts
  • Provide direction and/or guidance to less experienced staff.

*Location options are: West Des Moines, IA; Minneapolis, MN; Charlotte, NC; San Antonio TX; Phoenix, AZ.  Other locations within the WF footprint may be considered.
Salary range is determined by the location of the job.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of business systems analysis experience, business systems design experience, or a combination of both demonstrated through work or military experience



Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies
  • JIRA experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Customer Account Management business operational groups
  • Experience with gathering and writing business requirements
  • Experience with creation of user stories


Job Expectations

  • This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
